Malta

Malta is mostly famous for its wide-open spaces and diverse landscape. It offers a variety of wildlife and cultural history. The town offers deer, antelope, elk and upland game birds viewing and hunting for the visitors at Charles M Russell National Wildlife Refuge and Bowdoin National Wildlife Refuge. Malta also has The Great Plains Dinosaur Museum and Field Station and the Philips County Museum where you can view real life dinosaur displays. In July and August, family dinosaur expeditions are offered in The Great Plains Dinosaur Museum.

 

Livingston

Nestled along the Yellowstone River, Livingston is rich in history and nature. Livingston has also been featured on several Hollywood movies. Hunting, fishing and whitewater rafting are the best activities to do in the legendary Yellowstone River. Yellowstone Gateway Museum and Livingston Chamber Visitor Center are the must-see in Livingston. Livingston also has over 15 art galleries, a live theatre and over 200 artisans. Red Lodge

Situated in the foothills of the Beartooth Mountains, the Red Lodge is a resort famous for great spring skiing and 18-hole public golf course. The Carbon County Historical Society and Museum and Beartooth Nature Center lies in the Red Lodge. While the museum features historical gun collection, interactive coal mine exhibit and many more, Beartooth Nature Center is home to more than 100 wild animals. Beartooth All American Road is one of the scenic drive which offers cross-country ski in June & July for all the visitors.

 

Great Falls

Great Falls is known as the ‘Electric City’ because it boasts numerous dams and power plants. Great Falls include Giant Springs State Park which is one of the largest natural, cold water springs in the world. Great Falls also holds musical history as it is the home of the famed cowboy artist Charlie Russell. Today, his original home and log studio are now part of the C. M. Russell Museum. Great Falls is also the center of United State’s first Minuteman Missile Complex.
